Types of simultaneous interpretation
There are 4 types of simultaneous translation that a translator can perform, which are:
Consecutive translation
The interpreter first listens to the conversation and then translates after the speaker has stopped speaking.
Simultaneous interpretation
The interpreter translates the speaker’s words directly as he speaks, such as simultaneous interpretation at international conferences, seminars, and meetings.
Whisper translation
It is done by whispering and does not require translation tools, unlike the other types of simultaneous translation that were mentioned.
Remote translation
It is done online via applications such as Zoom or Google Meeting.
